Podcast: Family involvement in MS care: Duty or disruption?
A diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS) impacts family members and loved ones, as well as the person with MS (PwMS). Family and carer support is crucial when living with a condition like MS. Join Jon Strum, Dr Alice Laroni and Trishna Bharadia in their discussion on the role of families and carers in making decisions about MS care together, and how caregiver involvement can impact how satisfied PwMS are with their care.
Dr Laroni is an actively-practising neurologist with over 18 years of experience providing clinical care to patients with MS and more than 13 years of experience in neuroimmunological research. Dr Laroni is also an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Genova.
Trishna Bharadia is a multi-award-winning health advocate and patient engagement adviser determined to raise awareness and find solutions for people living with MS. She was diagnosed with MS in 2008.
