Ms. Birgit Bauer was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2005, after which she started her life afresh. She says, ‘I’m the boss of my life, not my MS.’ Ms. Bauer is a social media and digital health expert consultant, speaker, and journalist in her own company, which she runs with a business partner. She is one of the most influential bloggers on MS and healthcare in Germany and Europe. Ms. Bauer has more than 15 years of experience working with different stakeholders, including patients and patient organizations; she supports the European MS Platform as an advisor on patient issues, is the Chair of the European Society of Radiology Patient Advisory Group and has been a member of the MS in the 21^st Century Advisory Group since 2016.
