Trishna Bharadia
Ms Bharadia is a multi-award winning patient advocate and patient engagement consultant, with a prominent profile in the MS and broader health advocacy arena, as well as a general public profile thanks to her appearance on the popular BBC1 show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2015.
Her work includes public speaking, consultancy, media outreach, content creation and review, co-production of information and services, and writing. She works with multiple stakeholders, including industry, clinicians and individual patients, sits on many international and national steering groups, committees and governance boards, and is a patron/ambassador for numerous MS-, disability- and patient-related organizations, including MS Society UK, ParaDance UK, ADD International, Lyfebulb and two MS therapy centres.
Ms Bharadia’s main areas of interest include patient engagement; diversity, equity and inclusion in healthcare; health literacy/information; work and disability; and engaging with underserved communities, particularly the Asian community. She works part-time as a Spanish–English translator/analyst for a business intelligence firm. Among her various accolades, she is an honorary member of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (Royal Colleges of Physicians) in recognition of her contribution to the life sciences industry, was awarded a Points of Light from the UK Prime Minister’s Office for her work with patient communities, and is a PharmaVoice 100 honoree for her transformational contribution to healthcare and life sciences.
