MS21 Presents Poster on the Future of MS Care at European MS Conference

MS in the 21st Century is excited to share that our poster Progress in MS care through the last decade and into the next: an update to the 2013 consensus of the MS in the 21st Century Steering Group has been presented by Dr Raed Alroughani at the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) 2025 congress, a European MS and neurology conference.

This poster considers how far MS care has come since 2013 and presents priority areas for further improvement, from the perspective of both health care professionals and people with MS.

Health care professionals and people with MS agreed on the top 3 priorities:

  • Access to quick and decisive treatment after diagnosis
  • Access to multifunctional care (eg, rehabilitation and psychological support)
  • Development of treatment options to manage invisible symptoms (like fatigue and cognitive challenges)

“MS21 has come together to look and to see what is different [from 2013], what the new vision of MS care is, and to look for the priorities to help people with MS live without the burden of their disease.” – Dr. Celia Oreja-Guevara, Neurologist
